सुप्रभातम् - चरकसंहिता - सूत्रस्थानम् - आष्टादशोऽध्यायः

नित्याः प्राणभृतां देहे वातपित्तकफास्त्रयः।

विकृताः प्रकृतिस्था वा तान् बुभुत्सेत पण्डितः॥

Vata, pitta and kapha - these three doshas are always present in the body of all living beings. The learned should know about their normal or abnormal states.
