सुप्रभातम् - चरकसंहिता - सूत्रस्थानम् - २५

सुखार्थाः सर्वभूतानां मताः सर्वाः प्रवृत्तयः। ज्ञानाज्ञानविशेषात्तु मार्गामार्गप्रवृत्तयः॥

All living beings strive in this direction to attain the goal of staying happy, and they follow the right and wrong path depending on their awareness and ignorance.
